"So what happened?", you ask. Now I'm living in New York, but somehow another blog post showed up - I could've let the blog end at LA with a recap of the details, but I feel the need to finish what I started. After all, what fun is it to drive 22,000 across the country if you can't finish up the details?
So, after LA. After staying with a former college roommate in LA for two weeks, visiting beer gardens, seeing some old high school and college friends, and spending the waking hours running and sunning on the beach, I had to make my way down to San Diego for a few MORE days in the sun. Cyrus and Nina were flying in to San Diego to drive back out east with me, and we had made some plans to do some hiking and see some sweet Southwest on the way back. It's a good thing we hadn't planned the remainder of the trip to a T, because it certainly changed more than a few times on the return back...
After picking them up on a sunny Monday in San Diego after staying with another college friend and her family in Orange County for the weekend, we did what anyone flying into Cali would do: InNOut burger, of course. After hitting the famed burger joint, we gathered ourselves up for a few days of beach trips and decided to head out on Thursday to our next destination: St. George, Utah. After a disappointing early morning beach trip in Ocean Beach, we hit up Hodad's burgers, a local burger joint that may rival any of those I've ever had previously...
