Denver, The Road to Jackson Hole

After flying back to Denver from Mardi Gras, and being exhausted from drinking/flying/driving/sleeping-on-a-couch-for-6-nights, I hit up my hotel Friday night with the explicit desire to get up early and go skiing at Winter Park. I got up, not early, and made it there for a half day - I was already prepaid at a half price lift ticket, so I didn't really care that I missed most of the early snow. Exhaustion was too far set in for me to be concerned over $30.

Saturday night was a fairly interesting day - met up with the Lieutenant and some of his friends from CO Springs in Golden, Co to take the Coors Brewery Tour. All-in-all, the tour itself was pretty shitty, for lack of a better word. You took a 35 second bus ride through "downtown" Golden (a whole 3 blocks) while the bus operator/overpaid tour guide gave the history of the town (Adolf Coors looks for a place to make beer, finds water in Golden, sets up brewery). After the illustrious tour of the town, the bus driver dropped us off in front of the brewery, where we showed our IDs and in return were given a Zach-Morris-cellphone contraption with a lanyard and a numeric keypad on it. Basically, you looked at the stuff on the wall/brewery stuff, listened to this mini radio, and hit the "next" button when you went on to the next part of the tour. I'm far too lazy to hold this friggin thing up to my ear for 30mins, so I just read the stuff on the all, looked at the copper kettles, and drank my three free samples at the end. Budweiser only gave two, but they had the Clydesdales, a tour guide, and a friggin stable. A friggin stable - one more time, a FRIGGIN STABLE. Point: Budweiser.

After that, I decided to tie one on with Nicole and some of her friends at some local Denver bars. Woke up on Sunday with a massive hangover and a nice 8-hour drive to Wyoming...
