Norman - OK

*Please note the map above - my IT/Systems adviser, Mr. Steven Flisler-Singh, has advised me that it would be a more informative look at my travels.

I drove from Memphis to Norman on Saturday afternoon - not much to see for pretty much all of Arkansas, to say the least. I did however grab a pic over this scenic overlook in the middle of the state, somewhere between Little Rock and Fort Smith:

As you would expect, OK is a pretty flat state until you get to OK City, Norman, and I'm assuming Tulsa. OU was actually a pretty cool campus - really "condensed" for a university with such a history.

My "tour guide" and his friends at dinner:

This is a pic from a sandwich shop on Campus Corner - apparently if you finish it you get a free Tshirt. Whoopee.

As my tour guide told me, the entire campus, including the sports stadiums/arenas, are all enclosed within a square shaped block - not spread out all over the place. The bar scene is in a little area called "Campus Corner," which is pretty much the big nightlife scene. It was a pretty dead night when we were there on a Saturday, but pretty cool to see regardless.

Sunday morning pic of downtown Norman:

Sunday morning, before scooting out of town, I went and checked out the stadium, which was open except for the actual field...

Off to Austin, UT, and the Live Music Capital of the World!
